Boston College: Capital Campaign- Increasing Female Alumni Donations

Challenge: Working closely over the years with Boston College, Plan-it has conducted numerous projects among student, alumni and corporate audiences. One study helped Boston College with fundraising efforts among females, as fundraising among female alumni was significantly below that of male alumni.

Objective: To understand reasons for giving/not giving back to the college.

Solution: Plan-it conducted focus groups among current female students and alumni to better understand key motivators in considering and making donations to the college, and explored why women tend to give less after graduation.

Result: Strategic recommendations were made for enhancing the overall college experience and for most effectively keeping students connected to the college post-graduation.
